Calling all aspiring writers within our RBI and Youth Academy baseball & softball communities!

For Black History Month, Major League Baseball is excited to launch an opportunity for members of our youth baseball and softball programs around the country to provide written pieces featured on MLB.com and MLB social media channels.

The program will serve as a forum for young voices to talk about the sport in a personal way. To start, young wordsmiths are encouraged to put together pieces on Major Leagues of the present and past. Think Mookie Betts, Tim Anderson, Ken Griffey Jr., Aaron Judge, and so many more.  We are looking for originality, creativity and, most of all, passion in these final pieces.

Register your child by clicking the button above to be included in this exciting new program and to have your work featured. Additional directions/instructions will be provided to the initial writers selected for this month. MLB intends to continue this program throughout the year, so, if your player is not selected, please be patient as we sort through all interested submissions.

Last, but certainly not least, all writers will be compensated monetarily for their work!

We look forward to hearing from you! Good luck!
